We’ve known that Microsoft was readying its version of the App Store for Windows Mobile, called the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Well, it looks like the folks in Redmond are gearing up to start accepting app submissions beginning July 27 according to the Windows Mobile Blog. Suspicions were that this would be for apps that could run on Windows Mobile 6.5 and later, but it now appears that if you’re running 6.1 or 6.0 you can take advantage of the Marketplace as well, although that may not be in place until the end of 2009.
The Marketplace is going to be accepting submissions in 29 supported countries.
