Now that the Nexus S is out of the bag, Google is announcing availability and pricing for the smartphone, which will be destined for T-Mobile’s network in the U.S. following the tradition of the original Nexus One.

The device is expected on December 16th in the U.S. and December 20th in the UK. In the U.S., the device will be available unlocked and contract-free or with a T-Mobile plan. The device will be available online, through Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile Stores, and in the UK through Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy UK.

Best Buy will price the device at $199 with a contract or $529 sans contract and unlocked.

The device will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, the latter is also used on current-generation Galaxy S smartphone.

More information about the Nexus S could be glimpsed on google.com/nexus.
