Panasonic Attempts To Enter the Tablet Game with Viera Tablet

Warner Crocker —  01/05/2011

I guess it is everybody into the water or Olly Olly Oxen Free when it comes to Tablets at CES 2011. Panasonic is apparently trying to get into the game with an Android Tablet, that I believe is to compliment its web connected Viera TVs. Think of this as more of a companion or large touch screen remote for a TV.

This is scheduled to launch in Japan shortly and arrive sometime later this year in the US. But I’m guessing Panasonic isn’t thinking of this as something of a real Tablet competitor. No word on pricing.

  1. You know Panasonic has been shipping tablet PCs (Toughbook 18/19, et al) for years, right?

  2. The Panasonic laptop computer is good and cool.
