In addition to the LG G-Slate that was announced at CES, LG is following up with its Optimus Pad announcement for Mobile World Congress. The Optimus Pad is an 8.9-inch tablet featuring Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, which is the first version of Android built for tablets. The device’s 8.9-inch screen supports a resolution of 1280 X 768 (WXGA). The tablet is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, which is a 1.0 GHz dual-core mobile CPU. Additionally, the Optimus Pad will have a 3D camera–dual lens camera–which will allow users to capture videos and images in 3D and share it with a 3D HDTV or on the web with YouTube 3D.
