Motorola Atrix 4G Goes on Sale 2/20

Published

on

It looks like we now have new release dates for Motorola’s flagship phone and its new Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet.

The new AT&T report indicates that the Motorola Atrix 4G will go on sale starting on February 22, which is arriving sooner than previously anticipated. A few days ago, AT&T reps at a corporate-owned AT&T retail store in the Bay Area informed me that the device will be available on March 6th.

The Atrix 4G will cost–after contracts and rebates–$500 as a package with the optional laptop dock. The phone alone on contract and after rebates will go for $200, and separately, the laptop dock will be priced at $500, making the total package and cost of ownership of the laptop dock high considering that entry-level netbooks, with full power, start at around $300.

Also of note, a recent Best Buy ad, which priced the Motorola Xoom Android tablet for Verizon’s 3G network–to be upgraded with 4G LTE support at a later date–will be coming to Best Buy on February 24th for $800.
