T-Mobile Announces Budget Android Handsets at MWC

T-Mobile announced two budget Android handsets in the form of the T-Mobile Move and the Samsung Galaxy Mini, both cheaper alternatives to the Galaxy S 4G. The devices will land in the UK but will eventually make it over to the U.S. market to join the Optimus T and other smartphones in the entry-level segment. Pricing was not announced, though the handsets are anticipated to cost around $50-$75 with a two-year contract.

The Galaxy Mini will run on Android 2.2 and will keep costs down with a slower 600 MHz CPU–compared to the 1.0 GHz single or dual-core CPU smartphones being announced recently, and will sport a QVGA 3.2-inch display. The T-Mobile Move has an even smaller 2.8-inch QVGA display with the same CPU clock speed.
