HTC Droid Incredible and Motorola Droid X Available For A Penny At Amazon

In a sign of the times, Amazon has made Verizon’s Motorola Droid X and HTC Droid Incredible available for a mere penny with free shipping included.

Droid X

It’s no secret that the days of the Droid X and the Droid Incredible are numbered. The HTC Droid Incredible just reached the end of its life which means Verizon won’t be offering it anymore and retailers will stop receiving shipments. It’s successor, the HTC Droid Incredible 2, is expected to be out next month. As for the Droid X, we’ve not only seen its successor, the Droid X 2, but we’ve also heard that it will be out sometime in May.

Droid IncredibleVerizon is also gearing up to release a new batch of LTE enabled Droid devices, specifically, the Samsung Droid Charge and the Motorola Droid Bionic that will be overtaking the Droid Incredible and Droid X as Big Red’s flagship Droid devices.

For those not awestruck by LTE or hardware upgrades, this is definitely a deal to take a look at. Making this deal even more appealing is the fact that Motorola will be outfitting the original Droid X and the Droid Incredible with Android 2.3 Gingerbread at some point in the not-so-distant future.

Not bad for a penny.

You sure this isn’t an April Fools thing?

  2. Well, I got two Droid X’s for free (with new contract), AND a $50 Dell giftcard for each one (so they paid ME to get it) and that was in February, so this deal sounds completely plausible. :)

  3. Motorola is an A class phone….
