President Obama an iPad 2 User

By  |  5 Comments

President Barack Obama, one of the most technologically-forward presidents in modern history, was recently photographed with the iPad 2 tablet and Apple Smart Cover. It’d be interesting to see and know what app(s) the president uses on his tablet, and more importantly how the U.S. government handles security with the tablet.

Obama has never been one to shy away from the challenges and constraints of technology and security. The President had campaigned to use a BlackBerry in the presidential office.

Now, it seems that the President has chosen iOS as the platform for his tablet. It’s unclear if the President will switch to the BlackBerry PlayBook now that the device has officially launched.

I wonder where he got it. I’m even having trouble finding one using tracking sites like iPad2Tracker.com. I guess it pays (in more than a few ways) to have power.
