Google has updated its Google Goggles app for Android with a host of improvements that should make users of the application extremely happy.

While the app remains a work in progress, the update adds some things that will surely bring in a few more users into the fold. For one, the application now boasts an enhanced search history that allows you to search within your Goggle results and share those results with friends and also make personalized notes on things you have found.

After you’ve searched for something, you can now suggest a better result if Google is unable to find an image match. At this point you can select the relevant part of the image and submit tags that will improve the apps recognition abilities.

However, the best part of the update is probably what Google has done with the popular business card recognition part of the application. Now, after scanning a business card, Goggles is able to recognize the information as a contact which will allow you to instantly add someone to your contact list.

Google Goggles is currently available to Android devices running Android 1.6 or higher and you can find it by heading here.

  1. How do you add the business card info to the tablet contacts. I can add notes and the scan comes out fine but I don’t know how to add the business card info to my list of contacts on a Samsung 10.1 tablet
