I am pretty sure that the folks that made Unlock with Wi-Fi have been reading my thoughts. I, like many of you, keep a password on my phone in case I lose it when I’m out. I don’t want baddies getting an inside view of my life.
However, when I’m at home, having to enter my password every time I turn my phone off is an absolute drag. First world problems, I guess.
So, as you may have guessed, Unlock with Wi-Fi disables the password on my Android phone when I am on my home Wi-Fi network. No more dragging my finger around in order to access my phone when it’s inside my residence. It also does a few other things too.
You can toggle between unlocking your phone completely or keeping the sliding lock screen on while at home and it will also monitor things like GPS, Bluetooth and data sync. For all of you forgetful people out there, this could be a battery life savior. It also has a bunch of other features that make this the ultimate app for these kinds of things. It’s pretty cheap too.
You’ll need Android 2.1 and up but if you have that requirement down, and most of you do, you can find Unlock with Wi-Fi on the Android Market right here. It’s also available for free here but it will only let you use one home Wi-Fi network.
If you have more than one, get the paid one. It’s only $4.00.
