Samsung Galaxy S II Headed to T-Mobile This Fall
It won’t be packing the Hercules name but the Samsung Galaxy S II for T-Mobile will indeed be packing 4G connectivity, a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus Display and a dual-core processor. Unlike the models on AT&T and Sprint, T-Mobile has yet to divulge any more details other than those bits and the generic specs that will arrive with all three Galaxy S II models in the U.S.
Those generic specs include a 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording 16GB of internal storage space, and a 2MP front-facing camera for those that like to use their smartphone to video chat.
Other than those little bits and a glimpse at its form factor, we’re still in the dark on T-Mobile’s device.
No release date except a fall window, no pricing – although I suspect $199 on a new contract in its future – and no confirmation on whether or not it will run on T-Mobile’s speedy 42mpbs HSPA+ network.
That last part of course would easily make the Samsung Galaxy S II more attractive than the HTC Sensation 4G, a phone that will be its biggest competition Android-wise when it launches.
Hopefully, T-Mobile clues us all in soon to all of the details.
