Verizon Getting Galaxy Nexus First, Other Carriers Later?
For all of you out there that have been hoping and praying that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus isn’t a Verizon exclusive, it looks like your prayers may just have been answered. No, not by a U.S. carrier but by Samsung’s Facebook page which has revealed that while Verizon will be the exclusive launch partner of the Galaxy Nexus – it will get it first, other carriers might get it in the future.
Shocked? Don’t be. We’ve already seen a device similar to the Galaxy Nexus pass through the FCC with bands for AT&T and T-Mobile. However, it’s unclear whether or not that device is the same as the one that was announced yesterday.
What isn’t unclear is the fact that this device will be headed to Verizon first. No, there isn’t a shiny press release yet, but we have seen a Verizon Galaxy Nexus in the wild and we’ve also seen it show up on Samsung’s website with Verizon branding.

We’re pretty sure that’s enough evidence.
So, if you’re not with Big Red at the moment or have no intention of heading there, you’re just going to have to wait and see if Samsung’s latest and greatest shows up someplace else.
