Google I/O 2012 Moved to June, Now Three Days Long

Adam Mills —  11/28/2011

Normally, Google I/O takes place in April and it lasts for two days. Such was the case with this year’s conference. Next year though, Google will be changing things up a bit as it has announced that Google I/O 2012 will take place over the course of three days and that it will be moved from the spring to the summer and will run from June 27th through June 29th.

The event will still take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Google also advises against making travel arrangements until a “new application process opens in February.” It advises those looking to attend the conference to brush up on their coding skills instead.

No elaboration so we’ll just have to wait and see what it means.

You might also notice that the event is now taking place the same month that Apple hosts its World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), which also takes place in San Francisco.

Google wouldn’t be trying to steal any thunder away from the folks in Cupertino would it?

Never.
