The Samsung Galaxy Note took on a unique hybrid form factor. As a device with a 1280 X 800 high resolution 5.3-inch screen, the Note could either be used as a large smartphone or a small-sized portable tablet. In the few months that the Note has been on the market, it looks like Samsung may have a successor to the device.
The Samsung GT-N8010 has just received WiFi interoperability certification. As the original Note, model number GT-N7000, is the only Samsung device thus far to bear an ‘N’ in the model number, speculation has it that the GT-N8010 may be a Galaxy Note II.
Not much is known about the device or when it will be announced or released at this time. The device is known to support dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi 802.11 a/b/g signals according to the WiFi certification.
Perhaps when the GT-N8010 will be released, it will be an Android 4.0 Ice Creram Sandwich device. The Galaxy Note was recently announced by Samsung to get upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich; that device was originally released with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
