MetroPCS Offering $40 Unlimited Plan for 4G LTE Devices

If you think that AT&T and Verizon are the only carriers in the United States with 4G LTE networks in place, you’re sorely mistaken. MetroPCS currently has a 4G LTE network in place and those not looking to shell out the big bucks to the big carriers might want to give it a look. That’s because MetroPCS has brought its $40 unlimited plan to its 4G LTE devices.

Prior to this offering, the carrier required LTE device owners to get on board with $50 or $60 plans so this is a nice little price cut.

The plan includes unlimited talk, text and data although there is a 100MB limit on multimedia streaming. The other $50 and $60 plans don’t have the same 100MB limit, so if you’re a data hog, you’re probably going to want to look at those.

MetroPCS

MetroPCS doesn’t have the selection of an AT&T or Verizon but then again, it doesn’t require you to sign a contract.

Taking a look at its lineup, we have a grand total of three phones. The Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G, the Samsung Galaxy Indulge, and the LG Esteem. None of them are going to blow you away specification wise, but they won’t fall apart a day after buying them either.

You should also know that you’re not going to get the same type of 4G LTE data speeds that you see on Verizon’s network with MetroPCS’ 4G LTE network. It’s decent, but it’s no where close to AT&T’s or Verizon’s.

But again, the trump card here is that there is no-contract. So if this sounds like a deal to you, you’ll want to head here.
