Motorola Readying New Update for Droid RAZR, RAZR MAXX Smartphones
It appears that Motorola and Verizon Wireless are readying a new software update for the Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX smartphones, which are essentially based on the same software and design except that the latter has a much more capacious battery while retaining a still slim form factor. The software update for both devices are now posted in a PDF on Verizon’s website and boasts some fixes, including resolving mobile hotspot bugs, updating VZ Navigator with 3D maps, enhancements to visual voicemail, pre-installed VCAST apps, and MotoCast improvements for ease of use. There is now improved stability for airplane mode as well as allowing the devices to hold onto a weak 4G LTE signal.
The update is now at version 6.12.173.
Thanks to Kris Gallwey for the tip.
