Sprint Showcasing Galaxy Nexus on YouTube Channel Chuong Nguyen04/13/2012 It looks like the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Google phone is now closer than ever as the Now Network has now uploaded a video overview of the 4G LTE smartphone it its own Sprint YouTube channel. In the video, Sprint highlights the Google apps, Google Wallet, Google integration, Play Store, dual cameras, easy share, Sprint mobile hotspot, and dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. As the video mentions the Play Store, it seems that this promotional video for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus was only recently created as the Play Store branding is a fairly recent thing on Android as Google transitioned from Android Market. Advertisement Sprint had initially showcased the Galaxy Nexus earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show as one of two new smartphones and one of three new devices–the third device is a dedicated mobile hotspot unit that supports 3G/4G WiMax/4G LTE connectivity–that will be launching this year. Sprint was very guarded with the Galaxy Nexus and did not allow photos of the rear side of the device nor was the carrier open about talking about specs, saying that details were not yet finalized. However, in the recent weeks, we’ve seen a number of Now Network Galaxy Nexus leaks, including the latest leaks suggesting that Sprint’s headlining 4G LTE smartphone may debut as early as April 22 alongside the LG Viper, a mid-range LTE device that was introduced at CES as well. In addition to the LG Viper and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Now Network is also expected to roll out a new EVO 4G smartphone in the form of the HTC EVO 4G LTE. That device will be joining the EVO franchise and will be a variant of the HTC One X flagship, but will carry many of the same EVO design characteristics that made the original HTC EVO 4G a successful phone on Sprint.
