Find Where to Stream or Rent Movies with CanIStream.it

By  |  2 Comments

Can I watch Iron Man 2 on Netflix? Can I rent The Rock on iTunes or Amazon? These are just a sampling of the many questions I ask and hear on Twitter and Facebook on a daily basis.

People want an easy way to know where they can stream movies, rent movies and buy digital downloads of popular movies.

Release windows and licensing issues turn a simple experience into a grueling 15 minute hunt through apps and websites, maybe longer if you’re on a smartphone, but Can I Stream It solves this issue.

With Can I Stream It, users can search for any movie title once and see any place it can be watched online.

I’ve saved tons of time and frustration using Can I Stream It online and the iPhone and Android apps to search for movies.

The service searches all the following services.

Streaming

  • Netflix
  • Amazon Prime
  • Hulu
  • Crackle
  • YouTube
  • Epix
  • Xfinity Stream

Digital Rentals

  • Amazon
  • iTunes
  • Google Play
  • Vudu
  • YouTube
  • BlockBuster

Purchase

  • Amazon
  • iTunes
  • Vudu
  • BlockBuster

The service can also find which services rent or sell Blu-Ray and DVD copies of the movie. Xfinity subscribers can see which premium movie channels are playing the movie as well.

The mobile apps work very well, and tapping on an iTunes link in the app will send you to the iTunes store on the iPhone. With an account users can set up reminders to find out when a favorite movie hits a streaming service.

To check on your computer, head to CanIStream.it and be sure to download the apps to your phones and tablets, the website doesn’t work well on a small phone display.

Can I Stream It won’t fix all the problems with finding a movie available to stream, rent or buy, but it certainly makes it faster to find out if you can stream a movie and where it is the cheapest.
