We heard that a white HTC EVO 4G LTE might be on the way to Sprint and sure enough, a device that appears to be a white HTC EVO 4G LTE has appeared on Sprint’s website.
The device has appeared in an advertising image next to the white Samsung Galaxy S III over on Sprint’s website. The image depicts a phone that is clearly the HTC EVO 4G LTE, sporting some white paint.
Sprint has yet to announce the device in white but it looks like a release, or an announcement at the very least, might be imminent.
This is the first time we’ve seen the white HTC EVO 4G LTE but it’s not the first time that we’ve heard about it’s existence. The device has already been rumored to be coming to Sprint’s 4G LTE network at some point in the future and this image only reinforces that rumor.
Unfortunately, the photo doesn’t give us a very good look at the phone that just dropped to $129.99 at Amazon Wireless. We see the front plate of the device in white, but we can’t see whether or not the entire device is coated with the color.
Sprint has offered its EVO-branded smartphones in white in the past, but their coloring has been mixed, and not completely white.
Hopefully, this is a sign that Sprint has something up its sleeve for the near future and we get to see the white HTC EVO 4G LTE in its entirety soon.
In the meantime, Sprint has the HTC EVO 4G LTE available in black for its 4G LTE network which has yet to go live, but should be launching in the next couple of weeks as the carrier has promised its high speed network for mid-2012.
