In addition to the fix that will finally enabled Google Wallet, Google’s mobile platform, the update will bring these fixes and enhancements to owners of the EVO 4G LTE:

  • Wifi disconnect issue
  • Time zone issue
  • Google Wallet fix

  • Random power cycling issue
  • Pioneer Bluetooth Car Kit connection issu
  • Gallery app crash
  • Calendar reminder (all day even time) issue

All of these should help to make the experience on the HTC EVO 4G LTE and even better one than it already is.

Of course, there is still one major component missing. 4G LTE service. Sprint plans on lighting up its initial five 4G LTE launch cities on July 15th with several other roll outs likely planned for later on this year.

Currently, the HTC EVO 4G LTE takes advantage of Sprint’s 3G network, something that owners have had to put up with since the phone launched back in both May and June of this year.

Fortunately, owners of the EVO 4G LTE in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio only have to wait a few more days before they can access high-speed data with their EVO 4G LTE.
