iPad mini Camera

Apple designed the iPad mini with two cameras, beating many competitors in the 7-inch tablet market.

On the front of the iPad mini is a FaceTime HD camera capable of delivering 720P HD video recording and calls on FaceTime and other apps in HD quality. Users that opt for a 4G LTE iPad mini can make FaceTime calls over LTE while on the move.

On the rear is a 5MP iSight camera capable of shooting 1080P HD video and capturing snapshots. The camera quality is not yet known, but on the spec sheet it looks similar to the camera on the iPad 3rd Generation. Apple showed the iPad mini camera in action as a point and shoot in a promo video for the new tablet.
