In addition to the big American carriers including AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been confirmed for regional carrier U.S. Cellular who says that the device will be coming to its 4G LTE network. T-Mobile USA has been confirmed to be getting the device in the second quarter as well.
Just a short time ago, we saw AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless confirm the Samsung Galaxy S4 for their 4G LTE networks and now, we are getting word that two smaller carriers, T-Mobile USA and U.S. Cellular, which also have 4G LTE networks in place, will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 as well.
T-Mobile has confirmed the device for arrival with a splash page on its website. Samsung says that T-Mobile will be apart of the U.S. carriers getting the Galaxy S4 at some point in the second quarter of this year which consists of April, May and June. Rumors have suggested that the device would land in the U.S. in May or June but thus far, that is no confirmed.
U.S. Cellular has confirmed through Twitter that it will be carrying the Galaxy S4 on its 4G LTE network in the second quarter and that details and presale information will come at a later date. In addition, Samsung has confirmed the device for Cricket Wireless, a pre-paid carrier that has in the past carried high-end devices like the iPhone 5.
None of the carriers have revealed a specific date so it could be a few weeks or months before we see the release dates confirmed on all of these U.S. carriers.
Samsung says that the global roll out for the Galaxy S4 will commence at the end of April and typically, U.S. carriers are further behind their competitors in terms of release dates.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is finally official and it sports a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, Android Jelly Bean, smart software from Samsung and a design that is reminiscent of the Galaxy S3.
