HTC One SV Android 4.2 & Sense 5 Update Appears Likely
While HTC remains tight lipped on potential HTC Sense 5 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean updates, an unofficial list keeps growing with the HTC One SV the latest device to get pegged for upgrades to the most current versions of Jelly Bean and HTC Sense.
When the HTC One was first announced, the company confirmed at least some features of the new Sense 5, which debuted alongside the HTC One, for arrival in the months ahead. Devices said to be getting the new software include the HTC One X+, One X, One S, and the HTC Butterfly. Now that the HTC One has arrived, owners of older devices are likely expecting answers, answers that, so far, HTC has been unwilling to provide.
However, HTC leakster and developer @LLabTooFeR has leaking inside information about not only Sense 5 upgrades but Android 4.2 Jelly Bean updates as well. He believes that HTC will release Sense 5 with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to a number of devices including the aforementioned devices along with several others including the Droid DNA, Droid Incredible 4G LTE and EVO 4G LTE.
He has also added another HTC device to the list in the form of the HTC One SV, a mid-range device from HTC that is popular in regions outside of the United States. The HTC One SV has not had Sense 5 nor its Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update confirmed by HTC but @LlabTooFeR has a good track record with inside information so we expect it to get the software upgrades at some point in the future.
Good news for K2 (HTC One SV) users, you will get Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5.0 :)

Just when that future might arrive is uncertain. The HTC One SV is likely on the tail end of HTC’s list of devices to upgrade and it was, in fact, just upgraded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. So, it could be awhile before the software arrives. That said, HTC One SV can go to sleep soundly tonight knowing there is a good chance the device will get an update to the latest software from Google and HTC.
Sense 5 is the new software from HTC and it delivers not only a new look but powerful features including HTC BlinkFeed. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is Google’s latest and it brings lock screen widgets, more Google Now functionality, gesture-enhanced keyboard and a whole lot more.
