New Verizon Galaxy S4 Spotted at Bluetooth SIG

It appears that a new Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 is on the way, thanks to a newly revealed Bluetooth SIG filing for a device called the Samsung SCH-I545L with the L being the only difference between the new model number and the model number of the Verizon Galaxy S4, SGH-I545.

Samsung hasn’t been content with just the Samsung Galaxy S4. No, the company has seen it fit to introduce a host of Galaxy S4 branded devices including the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. It’s not stopping there either as it’s thought to be coming out with a Snapdragon 800-powered Galaxy S4 in the weeks ahead along with a Galaxy S4 that is powered by Advanced-LTE.

Rumors have also suggested that a new limited edition Galaxy S4 will be heading to Verizon at some point though it’s not the Verizon Galaxy S4 32GB. Instead, it appears to be a customizable, limited edition Galaxy S4 that will allow customers to tinker with the back plate. Designs from Krink, Kid Robot, KAWS and Undefeated are thought to be coming along as options for those who want something more from their Verizon Galaxy S4 design.

The leak comes from @evleaks who is generally accurate with his leaks so we imagine that Verizon has an announcement up its sleeve for sometime later on this year.

An announcement could come sooner rather than later as a new Galaxy S4 model spotted passing through the Bluetooth SIG could very well be this limited edition model.

Blog of Mobile noticed a device called the SCH-I545L that just passed through Bluetooth screenings. With the model number so close to the Verizon Galaxy S4, it’s clear that this is some type of Galaxy S4 heading to Verizon’s 4G LTE network. It’s just a matter of what variant it will be.

It’s likely not the Verizon Galaxy S4 32GB that we exclusively revealed several weeks ago. That means that it’s likely either an Advanced-LTE model or this new unique Galaxy S4 variant with a custom back with the latter being more likely.

It’s not exactly clear and a deep dive at Bluetooth SIG reveals nothing in regards to the device. So at the moment, it appears as though a new Verizon Galaxy S4 is on the way, though it’s unclear exactly what it might be.
