Samsung Galaxy Note 3 U.S. Carriers Rumored

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumors continue to roll out and the latest appears to have unraveled the mystery of the Galaxy Note 3‘s model numbers with claims that the SM-N900A is heading to AT&T, SM-N900A is heading to T-Mobile, SM-N900S is heading to Sprint and the SM-N900V is heading to Verizon Wireless down the road.

For months now, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumors have risen to the surface, teasing prospective buyers with features, release dates and more. Most recently, we saw what is thought to be the Galaxy Note 3 model number show up in a User Agent Profile on Samsung’s website, showing off an SM-N900A model number to go along with a 5.7-inch 1080p display.

Rumors peg the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.2.2 and Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 Updates for May or June.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 display should be bigger than the Galaxy Note 2’s display.

Other rumors contest that the Galaxy Note 3 could arrive with a quad-core processor, likely of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or Exynos 5 Octa variety, along with a 13MP camera. There is also speculation that the device could arrive in both premium and cheap forms with differing specifications including plastic and premium designs.

Coming back to the SM-900A, that model number was thought to possibly be the model heading to AT&T, something that has been backed by a new report that claims to have information on several Galaxy Note 3 model numbers.

According to Samsung Updates, the Galaxy Note 3 will indeed have a 5.7-inch display with 1080p resolution and currently, it’s running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and not Android 4.3. That could definitely change by the time it’s released but it does line up with previous rumors that indicated that Android 4.2 was on board right now.

The site also mentions that it has information on the model numbers of several Galaxy Note 3 variants, with a breakdown that looks like this:

  • SM-N900 – International version based on Samsung Exynos SoC
  • SM-N9005 – International version based on Snapdragon SoC (Possibly Snapdragon 800)
  • SM-N900A – AT&T Galaxy Note 3
  • SM-N900T – T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3
  • SM-N900V – Verizon Galaxy Note 3
  • SM-N900S – Sprint Galaxy Note 3
  • SM-N900R4 – Unknown
  • SM-N900P – Unknown

This lines up with what we heard about the SM-N900A when it first leaked though this is the first time we are seeing T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon mentioned as potential Galaxy Note 3 carriers. Given that all of these carriers had success with the Galaxy Note 2, it’s not surprising to see them rumored. Still, this should be taken with a grain of salt.

Oddly, we aren’t seeing a U.S. Cellular model here so it’s unclear if the carrier will miss out or if the information simply hasn’t leaked to the surface yet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 isn’t supposed to launch until September so it’s likely that more carrier information will leak out between now and then. For now, it’s looking increasingly likely that the big named carriers will be getting the Galaxy Note 3.

As a huge galaxy note fan…. owning note 1 i717 note 2 i317 note 10.1 and now also ththe i9205 mega 6.3 i may have to pass on the note 3 if it’s only .2 of an inch larger….5.7 5.7 inch screen just isn’t large enough…. especially after falling in love with the 6.3 inch mega… note 3 needs to be at least 5.99 inch screen to make it worth buying…. After waiting months and months i would be seriously disappointed and i guess wait for note 4

I am totally with you. If it is just 5.7″ I will finally stop my love affair with the Note . Seriously dissapoiinting. Needs to be just about 6″ for me to go with it. I may even go to the too big Xperia Ultra before upgrading to just .2″ bigger. I think 6″ is the perfect size. The Xperia is too big but if I have to choose between 5.7 and 6.3 then..bye bye Samsung.
I couldnt care less about the material used. I always laugh at the I want metal request…wtf this is a phone not a hockey puck.

I’m fine with 5.7 just make it metal, removable battery an SD card, 64GB, a good cam, a screen that won’t shatter if I drop it, and tell Verizon to pi$$ off with branding the front of the device.

I will be disappointed if it is not a 5.99 screen, but if it has 1080p, 13 mp camera, 3 gigs of ram, 32 gigs storage, hdmi, usb3, 4000 amh battery, dual operating system-Android/ windows RT, gorilla glass, then a 5.7 inch in the same or smaller form factor than the Note 2 will not be a deal killer. Plastic case is just fine, maybe better in order to hold down weight and price, I’m just going to put a protective case around it anyway.
