It appears that the Nexus 5 that leaked out on video just a few short days ago could actually be the new Nexus smartphone and thanks to a new render, we ow have a bigger and bolder look at the device’s possible design just a few weeks from its rumored launch date.

Nexus 5 rumors have been swirling for weeks now and finally, they have picked up a ton of momentum ahead of the device’s rumored October launch alongside Android 4.4 KitKat. A few short days ago, Google issued an Android 4.4 video that came with a bit of a surprise, an unknown Nexus smartphone. That device is now thought to be the Nexus 5, possibly made by LG, as a similar device has been caught strolling through the FCC on its way to shelves.

The FCC filing did reveal some interesting tidbits about the Nexus 5 but it did not show off its full on design, something that we don’t expect to see until much closer to the device’s launch date. That doesn’t mean that we don’t have an idea about what the Nexus 5 could look like though.

Yesterday we showed you a render of the Nexus 5, developed from the device that leaked on video. Today, a new render from Droid-Life offers a bigger and much clearer look at the device in question, showcasing exactly what the Nexus 5 could look like when it arrives.

Again, we see the Nexus 7 inspired back side with the large Nexus logo. We see the massive camera sensor and the flash. We see a massive display that boasts the Android 4.4 KitKat logo. And we see a slim profile that could very well be slimmer than the current Nexus smartphone, LG’s Nexus 4.

So if the device in the video is indeed the LG Nexus 5, this new render offers an up close glimpse at Google’s new Nexus before the company puts it on display.

Rumors suggest that the device could be launching in late October, same as the Nexus 4, and could be modeled after the LG G2 with a massive 5-inch 1080p display and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. There is also though to be LTE on board, thanks to the FCC filing, something that is different from the Nexus 4 which arrived only with HSPA+ data speeds.

The device could, at the very least, be heading to AT&T and T-Mobile though Sprint has been mentioned as a possibility as well. We saw Google launch the Nexus 7 for Verizon’s 4G LTE network so it’s clear that there could be more options than just AT&T and T-Mobile with this year’s Nexus smartphone.
