Another Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update release date has seemingly leaked today with the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update now pegged for November 8th, just a few short days after Sprint and Verizon began rolling out the Android 4.3 update to their variants.
A short time ago, U.S. Cellular, the nation’s fifth largest service provider, confirmed that it would be rolling out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates for the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 in the coming weeks. It did not specify when it would roll out the software but the fact that it was the only carrier to release such an announcement went a long way with customers.
Thus far, we haven’t seen anything emerge out of U.S. Cellular and owners unfortunately weren’t helped by a leaked update schedule that presented dates for the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon variants. That schedule was dead on about the Sprint and Verizon Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates which became the first updates to hit the United States.
That said, a leaked document from Android Police has seemingly confirmed the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date for November 8th. The document isn’t confirmation for this Friday but it means that a roll out is likely. The carrier likely won’t confirm a date until the software itself arrives so owners should not be hopeful for early confirmation.
The update may not roll out OTA but instead, could come through Samsung Kies, but owners will want to be on the lookout for the official installation instructions when they arrive.
If this date holds, the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S4 will become the third Galaxy S4 in the U.S. to receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean following Sprint and Verizon. The AT&T and T-Mobile Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 updates are rumored for later on this month with the schedule pegging the AT&T update for November 13th and the T-Mobile update for November 18th. Neither of those dates are set in stone.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 roll out is set to be joined by the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 roll outs in the United States, both of which are set to begin sometime later this month.
