Sprint Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Update Rolling Out Now

Published

on

As expected, the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is rolling out to owners, an update that will not only bring the features of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean itself but will also bring support for Galaxy Gear.

The Sprint Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update had been pegged for an October 30th roll out and today, users of the Sprint Galaxy S4 have confirmed that the roll out has begun, meaning, the leaked schedule that emerged last week has so far, been dead on about roll out dates. The schedule also accurately predicted the Verizon Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 update that started rolling out last week.

The Sprint roll out appears to be moving fairly slowly as only a few owners seem to have gained access to the new software and this is something that we expected to happen as roll outs are often staggered. What this means is that while some users will get the software today, others won’t see the software for a couple of days at least. It’s random and there is no way to predict who will get the update first.

When the update does arrive, it will be bearing a few gifts including the features that come with Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software and support for the carrier’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch accessory that launched alongside the Galaxy Note 3 earlier this month.

This means that the AT&T and T-Mobile Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update dates could be dead on accurate as well with November 13th and November 18th rumored as their roll out dates.

After that, the devices will almost assuredly be getting the new Android 4.4 KitKat update though we don’t expect to see the same kind of urgency from Samsung and its carriers. The support for Galaxy Gear was crucial as the holiday shopping season is coming up and with the Galaxy Gear figuring into its holiday plans, Samsung needed to get its devices upgraded as swiftly as possible.

Next in line are the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2, both of which are thought to be getting Android 4.3 updates in the United States starting in the month of November.

How on Earth do I roll back this dreadful update? I’ve lost all my saved files and the entire layout is completely different. Now I cant find anything. Remember this is a consumer device, not a geek machine!
