2 Reasons to Wait for iOS 9.1 & 1 Reason Not To
If you’ve been thinking about installing iOS 9 and iOS 9.0.2, there are a few reasons why you might want to make the move right now. That said, there are also some reasons why you might want to wait for Apple’s iOS 9.1 update to arrive before you move to something new.
In September, Apple released two major iOS updates for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Both are available though only one has rolled out to the public.
iOS 9.0 brought a ton of new features and enhancements to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. In the weeks since its release, Apple’s rolled out two more iOS 9.0 updates in iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2. Both delivered bug fixes for iOS 9 problems.
The most current version of iOS 9 is iOS 9.0.2 but that is expected to change in the near future as Apple prepares its next big iOS 9 update for arrival.
iOS 9.1 is the first milestone update for iOS 9. The update, currently in beta, is expected to arrive alongside the Apple TV 4 and iPad Pro later this year. Apple hasn’t confirmed a release date but the iOS 9.1 release should land in October.
If you’re looking to install an official version of iOS 9 right now, you’re left with one option: iOS 9.0.2. And while there are some good reasons to install iOS 9 and iOS 9.0.2 right now, some of you might be better off waiting for the iOS 9.1 update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to arrive.
Keep these reasons in mind as you make a decision about whether to install now or wait for Apple’s first major update for the iOS 9 operating system.
