Earlier today, EA and DICE released a major Star Wars Battlefront update that delivers bug fixes for some of the problems plaguing the game on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Here we take a look at the December Star Wars Battlefront update, what’s new and some of the early problems.
In November, DICE and EA finally released Star Wars Battlefront for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Like DICE’s Battlefield series, Battlefront puts gamers into huge battles. Only instead of modern day battlefields, Battlefront puts gamers on Endor, Hoth.
It also puts them into the shoes of famous characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Han Solo.
The game is good but it’s not perfect. Over the past two weeks, Star Wars Battlefront problems have plagued users on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Today, DICE and EA addressed many of these problems with a major December Star Wars Battlefront update for all three platforms.
The first Star Wars Battlefront update is here alongside the Battle of Jakku DLC and we want to take a look at its contents, and some of the early problems plaguing the new patch. Here’s what you need to know.
The December Star Wars Battlefront update comes with a number of changes though the change log is extremely vague. While the change log does feature some specific bug fixes, the developer doesn’t go into detail about others and that’s frustrated many gamers.

Thanks to the community, some of the smaller changes are coming to light. According to gamers on Reddit, it looks like barrage grenades take longer to detonate. Several people have complained about this “problem.”
Other users are saying that DICE nerfed the DL-44, a powerful blaster pistol. This gun is one of the bonuses that came with the Deluxe Edition. It also appears that the developer cut down on the guns range of fire.
Star Wars Battlefront Problems Continue
Gamers are reporting issues with the Blast Trophy, problems with connectivity, problems with crashes and graphics, problems with servers (keep in mind there is scheduled downtime today across all platforms), sound problems, and more.

Star Wars Battlefront Tips to Rank Faster
If you're familiar with Star Wars Battlefront, you know how important it is to rank up. If you aren't, here's the deal.
In Battlefront, you'll earn points by winning matches, killing enemies, completing challenges, and so on. As you acquire more points, you move up in rank. And as you move up in rank, you gain access to more weapons and Cards to use on the battlefield.
Some of you will be fine taking your time. Others will want to move up the rankings, and leaderboards, much quicker. If you're looking to move a little quicker than you've been moving, you'll want to take a look at our list of tips.
There are a number of ways to rank up fast in Battlefront. You probably won't go from level 1 to level 50 overnight but you'll be able to make some modest gains each time you pick up the controller if you know what you're doing.
Take a look at the list, absorb the tips, and then apply the principals next time you play. You should notice an immediate difference.
