Update: Team GottaBeMobile is on the job with Sierra Modro reporting from WWDC. Ahead of that, here are some of what we’re predicting from the event.

My son and daughter have an iPod Touch, but I have not activated the WiFi feature because there are no parental controls available, and up until now, no filtering apps available. Well, I got my first hands on with a MID today – the Aigo 8880. Acording to the rep, they are working on portrait rotation.

Holed up in a non-descript booth I found FirstView Electronics showcasing their 10.2″ and 8.9″ netbooks. They run the Intel Atom 1.6 ghz processor or the Via C7. Oddly, they are running XP Pro. Available in black, pink, green, blue, and silver. $250. efirstview.com

My wife is going to love me for taking this trip. Boxee.tv is a media application that collects all the media on your computer and lets you browse, add to your queue, and watch movies from NetFlix on the spot. Boxee does a ton more, is free, open source, and available for download at Boxee.tv.

Microsoft Surface is drawing a crowd at the NBC Universal booth. People seem to really enjoy the experience.

This drive looks fabulous! Ink note taking with little lag, plus a host of additional apps all built-in. Hoping to learn more later.

MIDs and tablets running the Atom processors are popular at Intel’s booth.
