The Verizon HTC One has resurfaced in release rumors.

Since then, rumors have been rather quiet though recently Verizon HTC One release rumors resurfaced, giving consumers hope of an eventual release down the road.

Gotta Be Mobile was tipped off by a reader who claimed that Verizon told him that the HTC One release would come in September of this year. This seemed a bit strange until the notorious @LLabTooFeR, a noted HTC leakster and developer, responded to an inquiry, noting that a September release for the Verizon HTC One is entirely possible.

According to him, the HTC One is still heading to Verizon, despite rumors of an HTC Butterfly 2/Droid DNA 2, but that he would be shocked to see it land before the month of July. He claims that Verizon could announce it in one to two months, which could mean either June or July.

Obviously, it would be extremely strange to see Verizon announce a phone that’s already out on shelves in June or July and it would be even stranger to see it wait until September to release that phone.

Adding to the confusion is that Slashgear and @evleaks have chimed in with information of their own that suggests that Verizon will announce and release the HTC One before the month of July is over.

The is a photo that is purportedly a screenshot of what appears to be an internal Verizon database and clearly shows the HTC One within a list of already released HTC devices including the Droid DNA.

So at this point, it could be that we see it before July, or perhaps even later than that, as it’s clear that nothing is set in stone when it comes to the long-awaited Verizon HTC One.
