Galaxy Note 5 Display: Bigger & Better?
The Galaxy Note series is known for its big beautiful displays. They're what help set the Galaxy Note apart from the Galaxy S.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge both come with gorgeous 5.1-inch Quad HD resolution displays. They're two of the nicest displays that we've ever used. The Galaxy Note 5 display will likely be on par with them and here's why.
Samsung won't regress with the Galaxy Note 5. This is a company that's well known for its excellent display panels and if anything, it will be taking a step forward.
Galaxy Note 5 rumors point to either a Quad HD display or an Ultra HD display. The company is reportedly testing both behind the scenes. If it opts for a Quad HD panel, we'd imagine that it will have some improvements. If it goes with Ultra HD, it will likely blow away the competition, Galaxy S6 included.
The display will also probably be bigger than the Galaxy S6's screen. The Galaxy Note series has never been below 5.3-inches in size and Galaxy Note 5 rumors suggest that we could see a 5.89-inch panel on board. That would put quite a bit of separation between it and the Galaxy S6's 5.1-incher.
Rumor has it, we might not see a Galaxy Note 5 with a curved display like the Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung is reportedly planning a device called Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and it's expected to be a larger version of the Galaxy S6. No stylus, no Note in the name. A Galaxy Note Edge 2 might not happen.
While it would be strange, we have seen other rumors point to the arrival of just one high-end Galaxy Note 5 model so keep that in mind as we push ahead.
