We expected Samsung, Apple, or maybe even LG to be the first company in the United States with a fingerprint scanner INSIDE the screen of our smartphones. Basically making it fast, smooth, easy and natural to unlock devices. 

And while we're expecting the Galaxy S10 to have a neat new fingerprint sensor inside the screen, OnePlus beat all those big companies to it. 

The OnePlus 6T has a fingerprint scanner underneath the screen, inside the glass. Once you tap the screen it lights up in a small circle and makes your fingerprint glow, then an optical sensor reads your unique fingerprint and unlocks the phone. It's pretty powerful stuff. 

Go to Settings > Lockscreen & Security > Screen Lock > and give it a whirl.
