You Can't Downgrade to iOS 9.0.2

The iOS 9.0.2 downgrade is no longer available. If you move to iOS 9.1, know that you're going to be stuck there unless you use a jailbreak.

You can drop back down to iOS 8 but it'll take extra work. You need to be jailbroken in order to move back to the older version of iOS. Most of you probably don't want to jailbreak your iPad so be careful with iOS 9.1 now that there's no going back.

Sorry, but I’m not going to bother clicking and clicking through your one paragraph per page article. Much easier to just get my info elsewhere.

I was searching and searching for any reviews for IOS 9.1 on an iPad 3 (wifi 16GB) and could not find any. There are some youtube reviews in Russian.

On the Oct 25, I just bit the bullet and upgraded from 8.3.1 to 9.1. So far I am happy. Battery life is (still) great. No standby battery drain and I am getting about 14 hours of actual usage on a full charge. Apps seem to load just noticeably slower, but seem to operate noticeably faster and smoother after loading. No freezing. Scrolling and pinch zooming seems smoother and less glitchy. Web pages in safari seem to load just a bit quicker. Not a fan of the new app switcher. I liked the old app switcher better. All of this is subjective.

    I would recommend. YMMV

I did upgrade my ipad to 9.1. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!!! Now my iPad is so slow, it’s not fun anymore. Take forever to load anything, Internet is slow (no, it’s not my connection…), email is closing by itself and won’t reappear. I did all the fixes but it’s still just a crappy system. Before that upgrade, my ipad was just fine. What did Apple think? I switch my iphone to Android and now, I guess I will do the same with my Ipad. Bye bye Apple, this is not what we expect from you.

I can’t get iOS 9.1 to even download on my iPad. I accept the terms and then nothing happens. From what I have been reading, I might not install this version and wait for the next one.

Also I thought It would be good to finally download a new update on my old iPad (that sounds contradictory “old iPad” ;-) the 9.1 version, but it’s terrible. Everything is slow, opening something on the Internet, opening app’s, even typing this. And the rotation function doesn’t work anymore; I can only use the upright position strange enough. I wish I could go back to a former version!
