Midfield is an Essential Tool
Some of the new midfield upgrades include better interception logic and more two player interactions that deliver a more realistic feel to FIFA 16.
In the example EA provided we saw a FC Barcelona midfielder come in close to the Real Madrid player, create some contact and then when the opportunity appeared flick around to intercept the ball and pass it off to a team-mate. This happens with AI controlled players who will step up and even slide tackle to steal the ball and bring more balance to the game.
This is a small part of how EA plans to make the Midfield matter again in FIFA 16.

Quick Pass from Anywhere in FIFA 16
You can now avoid those interception upgrades with a quick pass from anywhere on the field. To initiate a quick pass press pass and right bumper when you are in control of the player.
This will send a direct and fast pass to your mark that robs the defense of a chance to intercept the ball like they can with a standard pass.
A quick pass does come with drawbacks. The attacker waiting for the ball may have a harder time controlling a quick pass and it may mean a heavier touch.
No Touch Dribbling Upgrade

With the new FIFA 16 dribbling upgrades you can use no touch dribbling to choose when you touch the ball as you streak towards goal. This ties into skilled attackers who use body swerves and feints to get past defenders.
Press left bumper or L1 to do the new no touch dribbling in FIFA 16. This allows you to move around the ball without touching the ball. Let go of the button to resume normal dribbling.
You can use this to feint in one direction and leave the ball behind and come back with an explosive break to get past even skilled defenders. Another option is to use this in a sprint to sell a movement and trick a defender that you jump over to continue the attack.
