13 Reasons Why You’ll Love the Samsung Galaxy S5
A Future | ||||||||||||||
It's also important to know that the Galaxy S5 has a future beyond the Android 5.1.1 update and Lollipop. You can't say the same for every single device that was released in 2013. The Samsung Galaxy S5 should get Android M, Google's new operating system. An update isn't confirmed but given the device's age, it would be a travesty if the device skipped Android M. It would also be extremely shocking. As we've noted, Android M is an exciting update because it's really focused on improving performance with tweaks and changes to Android's code. That bodes well for the Galaxy S5. What comes after Android M is a mystery but we wouldn't rule out support after two years. Not with the hardware that the Galaxy S5 has on board, not with Apple now offering four years of software support for the iPhone. | ||||||||||||||

Uhhhh, the Samsung Galaxy S5 was released in 2014, not 2013.

Gottabemobile probably have a copy/paste template that they use every year. Typically the same content/words except they change the device names/dates/version number. Looks like they forgot to change the date this time.
Very typical of gottabemobile. This is why their articles are getting old and boring. It’s always the same old “we have been using it for blah blah blah and it’s impressive blah blah blah”. Sure they probably made some changes here and there, but 80% is pure repetition from the previous years.

I’ve been using one for 15 months and it’s still my favorite phone of all time. The only issue I have ever had with it is the charging port waterwater cover didn’t lock into place after the first 8 months, making it less than water resistant down to a 1 foot depth as advertised. But it’s gotten wet more than a dozen times and no damage. It’s been in an Otterbox Commuter since new and been dropped onto concrete floors more than a dozen times and no damage, it’s a tough phone! At the price point for a new one now, 15 months ago it was $800.00, it’s a great value for the money. I highly recommend it.
