Evolve III Maestro Slate Triple Boots Android, MeeGo, Windows 7

Published

on

Having a hard time post-CES deciding whether you want a consumer-oriented tablet that runs Windows 7 on an Intel Atom-based CPU or an Linux-based Android tablet? With the Evolve III Maestro tablet, hopefully you’ll no longer have to decide as the slate is able to boot into Windows 7, Android, or the MeeGo operating system, another Linux-based OS co-developed by Intel and Nokia.

There is still no word yet on pricing, but the Evolve III Maestro will hopefully be yours come this second quarter. It’s also unclear what version of Android will be pre-loaded on the tablet.

As far as specs, the slate is powered by an Intel N475 Atom CPU, though Liliputing is mentioning that a dual-core Intel Oak Trail CPU may be in the pipes. There is also 2 GB RAM and a 32 GB SSD. The tablet weighs 1.8 pounds and will come with a 10-inch display, WiFi, and 3G on-board.
