Yesterday at CTIA, Sprint introduced the HTC EVO View 4G tablet, their WiMax compatible version of HTC’s Flyer tablet that was launched back at the Mobile World Congress in February.

Now that that smoke has cleared, Best Buy has some more Flyer news, this in the form of a Wi-Fi only version of the device that will be launching at some point this spring.

The Wi-Fi only version of the Flyer will be a Best Buy exclusive and it will come equipped with the same exact specs as the 3G enabled versions of the tablet, except of course no cellular radio.

For those playing catch-up, that means that the Wi-Fi only version will employ a 7″ 1024×600 display with multi-touch capabilities, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm single-core processor, a rear facing 5 megapixel camera, a 1.3 front facing shooter, and a 4,000 mAh battery.

The Wi-Fi only version will beat Sprint’s EVO View 4G to shelves as the latter has a launch date scheduled for some time this summer.
