Motorola Droid X2 Video Confirms Dual-Core Processor

Verizon has yet to make the Motorola Droid X2 official but that hasn’t stopped the leaks from flowing through the cracks and today, the Droid X2 has shown up on video showing off its dual-core capabilities.

The video gives us a pretty good look at the device and a nice glimpse at the boot up process. It also shows us that the phone is running Android 2.2 but it should be pretty safe to assume that this thing is going to arrive with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

After all, the original Motorola Droid X just got itself a version of Gingerbread.

It’s still unknown when the Droid X2 is going to hit shelves but evidence has suggested that it will be rolling out sometime during the month of May. As for the price tag, look for the Droid X2 to be priced like a normal 3G phone, meaning, $199 on a new two-year contract.

While a good majority of the specifications on the Droid X2 have leaked out, the only ones that seem to be a sure thing at this point are the qHD display and the Tegra 2 dual-core processor which were confirmed by a benchmark test just a short time ago.
