Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi Coming to Sprint on May 8th for $600?
It looks like May 8th is shaping up to be an absolutely huge day for Sprint as a new leak seems to confirm that the oft-rumored Wi-Fi only Motorola Xoom will be making a grand appaearnence alongside the BlackBerry PlayBook and the Nexus S 4G.
Spantechular has posted an internal document that indicates that the Motorola Xoom will be hitting the Now Network for $600 once May 8th rolls around. That is the same date that the Nexus S 4G will be coming out and the rumored launch date for Sprint’s version of the BlackBerry PlayBook.
If all goes according to plan, we should see the release of the Wi-Fi only Motorola Xoom on the 8th with a WiMax enabled version of the tablet hitting Sprint’s network at some point in the future.
So, if you love Sprint and you’ve wanted to get down on some Android 3.0 goodness, it looks like May 8th is your lucky day. Just make sure that you have at least six Benjamin’s stuffed away in your piggy bank by then.

I am confused, a Wifi only version is already available at best buy, whats the point of buying a wifi only version from Sprint? Same device no?
