Motorola Triumph Pre-Orders Begin at Best Buy

Published

on

Plenty of you have been clamoring about Virgin Mobile’s upcoming pre-paid phone, the Motorola Triumph, and it looks like you can now go ahead and place a pre-order at Best Buy if you have $300 sitting around.

Motorola Triumph

Yes folks, the phone still doesn’t have an official release date – we’re hearing July 19th – but Best Buy has thrown it up on its website anyway. Estimated arrival time is anywhere between July 19th – yup – and July 26th. We’re going to assume that it arrives sooner rather than later.

Many of you had been hoping that the phone would arrive for a price tag around $200-$250 but that doesn’t appear to be the case, at least not here. Instead, you’re going to have to fork over three Benjamins in order to get a hold of this beaut.

And just to go over the specifications again, the Triumph will have a  4.1″ display (800×480 WVGA), 5MP back-facing camera and VGA front-facing camera, 720p playback and capture, 1400 mAh battery, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of on-board storage, Android 2.2 Froyo, and a form factor that checks in at .4 inches at its thinnest point.

You can head over to Best Buy to pre-order right now if you wish.

Any takers?

I wonder if the plans are going to be the same, because if they are it sounds like a good deal to me!! Count me in, Im changing my HTC Evo paying $100 a month to the Motorola Triumph hoping to pay $30 a month including insurance.

$300 bucks is a lot.. but paying $30 bucks a month compared to $100.. i’ll pick the savings up in no time.. An upgrade on any other network for a new release is gonna cost you atleast$200.. might as well fork over another $100 for a better package deal.

So, if I pre-order the phone from best buy, what day will I have the phone in my hands? Will the phone be shipped to me or could I pick it up in the store on the actual release date (July 19)? I’m just curious to know whether I should wait and get it the day it’s released or to go ahead and pre-order it from best buy.

Considering you’ll save $75 a month on this phone because of the plan, it’s way worth it at $300. My next phone for sure.

It’s mind boggling what a great deal this is.

Being that I’m currently spending over $150 for three lines on Verizon, Taking my primary line over alone will save me a significant amount of money over the next 12 months.

Once I cancel the third line and migrate my wife, we’ll go from spending almost $2000 annually to capping our mobile expenses at $600 annually.

That’s a no brainer. However I’m going to buy mine at Target, they have a 90 day return policy.

Anyone know about MicroSDCard max on this phone? I’ve been wanting to dump $104 a month at Verizon for a while now

Hi again, found my answer at:  https://www.phonearena.com/phones/Motorola-TRIUMPH_id5634
Memory Expansion: Slot Type: microSD, microSDHCMaximum card size: 32 GB
Even though I’ll have to pay the early termination fee it’s still a better option than $104 a month. I’m really looking forward to seeing this one in action. Cheers everyone!

Does this phone support flash? I would like to watch shows on other websites besides YouTube.
