Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 Might Be First Kal-El Tablet

Published

on

Just a short time ago, Asus chief Jonney Shih confirmed that a sequel to his company’s wildly popular Eee Pad Transformer was on the way. He revealed no details other than to say that the device was going to be “impressive.” It has been rumored that the Eee Pad Transformer 2 would be outfitted with a Kal-El quad-core processor from NVIDIA and it appears that might be true.

In fact, according to Fudzilla, it might be the very first tablet to hit the market with a Kal-El processor on board. As I’ve said several times, we loved the original Eee Pad Transformer and this news has us absolutely over the moon.

We know that Kal-El tablets will be coming this fall and so it seems that the Eee Pad Transformer will indeed be arriving in time for the holidays. Pretty crazy considering how well the original is doing on the market.

So, what’s a Kal-El processor going to do for this device? Well, it’s said to bring better battery life than the Tegra 2 processor and it’s obviously going to be a lot more powerful in terms of performance.

We like the sound of that. How about you?

I hope it will have an onboard USB host port.

Well I doubt this is going to be release this year as the stocks of the transformer are far from exhausted.

I am tempted to buy a transformer but will now wait till this new one comes out.
