Yesterday we heard that T-Mobile might be killing off two of its high end smartphones in the HTC Amaze 4G and HTC Sensation 4G which many suspect means other high-end smartphones are on the way. One of those phones is rumored to be the HTC Ville which has appeared on video today showcasing its thin design, Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and HTC Sense 4.0 over the top.

The HTC Ville is expected to launch at the Mobile World Congress next month and this is our first glimpse of HTC’s thinnest smartphone ever in the wild.

Looks pretty good doesn’t it?

The design of the HTC Ville looks similar to phones of the past but as you can see, the company has shifted to three soft buttons on the phone’s bezel. Safe to assume that that design shift is because of Android 4.0.

This differs from the other Android 4.0 phone on the market, the Galaxy Nexus. The Nexus doesn’t have any physical buttons and instead, owners have to rely on on-screen buttons to navigate through the operating system.

Rumored specs of the HTC Ville include a 4.3″ qHD display, HTC Sense 4.0, Android 4.0, an 8MP rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor to top it off.

It also features a design that’s only 8mm thick. That’s pretty close to the thinness that Motorola achieved with the Droid RAZR which sits at a mere 7.1mm.

The Ville looks like a pretty good offering and we should see more of it both before and at MWC.

What do you think?
