Sprint has announced that it will carry the Samsung Galaxy S III starting June 21st.

The carrier has confirmed that the Galaxy S III, Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, will go on sale in late June but that pre-orders for the device will actually begin tomorrow, June 5th.

Sprint will be carrying both the 16GB and 32GB variants of the Samsung Galaxy S III and it will be offering it in two colors, pebble blue and white.

For now though, the 32GB Galaxy S III will only be available through web sales and it won’t be found in physical retail locations once the phone launches. It’s unclear if Sprint will change that policy down the road but again, the 32GB model will be a web sales exclusive.

The phone will be the 4G LTE version of the device which means it will run on Sprint’s new 4G LTE network which will offer data speeds capable of reaching up to 10 times faster than those found on normal 3G.

The carrier will be launching 4G LTE in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio sometime during the mid-year. It has yet to announce an official launch date.

Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S III will also feature a massive 4.8-inch display, a speedy 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8MP rear camera capable of shooting 1080p video, a 1.9MP front-facing camera for video chat and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz out of the box.

The device will be joined in the United States by versions for AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and regional U.S. carrier, U.S. Cellular.

It will also bolster a 4G LTE lineup on Sprint that already includes the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the HTC EVO 4G LTE and the LG Viper 4G LTE.
