A front panel that allegedly comes from a Nokia Windows Phone 8 device in development has leaked out giving consumers a possible glimpse at what to expect from the Finnish company’s latest round of Windows Phone devices set to launch later on this year.

Know Your Mobile has posted what appears to be a front panel from an upcoming Nokia device, presumably a new handset running Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 software.

We see both a Nokia symbol at the top part of the front panel as well as the new Windows logo on the bottom of the panel. The panel also boasts space for a 4.3-inch display. This means that the device could sport a 4.3-inch 720p display as Windows Phone 8 will bring support for HD resolution screens when it arrives.

This could be the front panel for a Nokia Windows Phone 8 device.

This leak comes shortly after another Windows Phone 8 device, the Nokia Phi, leaked out. That device, rumored to have a 4.65-inch display, is supposedly going to be Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8 device.

It’s also rumored to include an external SD card slot, NFC, and 4G LTE.

This front panel appears to be too rounded to be the front panel for the Nokia Phi, a device that takes after the Lumia 800, which means it could be a front-panel for another Nokia device, possibly one of mid-range caliber.

The front panel is likely not for the Nokia Phi.

Windows Phone 8 is expected to launch as soon as September with September 30th currently pegged as a possible launch date wherein Microsoft will announce an upcoming release date and quite possibly, some Windows Phone 8 devices.

Nokia World is also scheduled for late September so it’s possible that we could get a glimpse at this device and the Nokia Phi there as well.

As for the release of Windows Phone 8 devices, November is currently said to be the target date as the software isn’t slated to hit RTM until September. However, we’ve also heard that the Nokia Phi could ship as soon as October.

Windows Phone 8 figures to be Microsoft’s most ambitious mobile effort since Windows Phone 7.5 Mango though it will only be coming aboard new devices.

Select Windows Phone devices already on the market will see Windows Phone 7.8, a stripped down version of Windows Phone 8.

Thus far, only Nokia devices have been confirmed to receive that update.
