Rumors regarding the new Nexus smartphone or smartphones from Google are heating up and one of the candidates is a phone that is being dubbed the LG Optimus G Nexus.

Android and Me is reporting that the LG Optimus G Nexus, a phone that has been rumored in the past, is indeed the real deal and backs that up with an apparent hands-on account with the device.

Apparently, the person who got a hold of the device claims that the phone has both an LG and a Nexus logo on the back of the device with the Nexus logo resembling the Nexus logo on the back of the Nexus 7 tablet.

The LG Optimus G Nexus should arrive in November.

In the few minutes that the person had to spend with it, he or she apparently gleaned that it’s fairly similar to the current Nexus in size, the current Nexus being the Galaxy Nexus, and that the design does not feature sharp edges like the current LG Optimus G.

The screen is also apparently similar in size to the Galaxy Nexus as well.

It also appears that it will feature Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, an operating system that is said to be an incremental upgrade over Jelly Bean. The software supposedly is speedy and features, at least, something called customization center that will allow users to customize their Android experience by switching through skins.

Apparently, the new Nexus won’t arrive in late October as was rumored but instead will be introduced at a separate event in early November. Originally, the device was thought to be coming at the All Things D: Dive Into Mobile conference which is set to kick off on October 29th.

A specific launch date was not mentioned though it appears that it will launch earlier in the month. That could mean that Andy Rubin, who will apparently talk about the Nexus program at the All Things D Conference, could set a date then.

We may also just see invites.

As for the Nexus program, it appears that there will be some massive changes including multiple Nexus devices at once. We’ve heard about the Galaxy Nexus 2 and it’s possible that it, along with others, will join the LG Optimus G Nexus.
