According to a report from SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 10.1 Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is now rolling out to owners of the Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 in Germany. The update is currently rolling out Over-the-Air and those who are owners of the device should be prompted to download and install the new software once in arrives. Currently, Germany is the only region where it’s available though we should see it roll out in other places soon enough.

Samsung has not said where it may end up next.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi only model has started to receive its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Those who do see the update should see a piece of software checking in at 300MB or so which means that setting aside a few minutes to both download and install the update is a wise idea. Once the software is installed, it should restart the device and once the Galaxy Note 10.1 boots back up, it will be running a new and improved operating system in Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is a massive improvement over Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It includes  a super smooth user interface, upgraded Browser, Google App drawer, more Camera app features, better Face Unlock, Google Now, and a whole lot more. It’s also free which gives Galaxy Note 10.1 owners a good reason to check for the update and install it if it’s available.

The update also contains Samsung’s Premium Suite which includes improved applications for the device’s S-Pen stylus and other enhancements that should make the experience on the Galaxy Note 10.1 a much improved one over Ice Cream Sandwich.

No word on when an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean roll out might take place so for now, owners should enjoy Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and all it has to offer.
