Verizon Galaxy S4 Possible as Samsung SCH-I545 Surfaces

It appears that a new Samsung Galaxy S4 benchmark has appeared today at Nenamark and while the rumored Galaxy S4 benchmarks of the past have centered on the international variant and the Korean model, this new benchmark appears to possibly be the Verizon Galaxy S4, or, the Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-I545.

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy S4 leak out several times including twice in benchmarks. Those benchmarks were for the SHV-E300S, thought to be a Korean variant of the Galaxy S4 and the GT-I9500 which is believed to be the international version of the device.

The Galaxy S4 could be heading to Verizon, according to a new benchmark.

The benchmark for the SHV-E300S depicted a device running a processor clocked at 1.9GHz, likely a Qualcomm SoC. In addition, it appeared that it sports a display using 1920 x 1080 resolution and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, both rumored to potentially be on board the Galaxy S4.

It appears that a new benchmark has surfaced at Nenamark, courtesy of Blog of Mobile, and it could be that we’re looking at the upcoming Verizon Galaxy S4.

The benchmark depicts a model Samsung SCH-I545 which lines up with the model number that was given to the Verizon Galaxy S3. Verizon’s Galaxy S3 was dubbed SCH-I535. Like the Korean variant, the device seems to be running a Qualcomm S4 processor, not the Exynos 5 Octa, clocked at 1.9 GHz, same as the other benchmarks.

It also shows Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a FHD display capable of 1080p resolution, both of which are rumored to be on board the Galaxy S4 when it arrives on shelves.

The Galaxy S4 is rumored for a March launch.

Verizon is no shown in the benchmark but again, given the closeness of the model numbers, there is a very good chance that this is a Verizon-bound Galaxy device and likely, given the specifications, the Galaxy S4.

It’s also possible that this is faked as benchmarks can easily be faked so take it with a grain of salt for now.

We’ve heard that the Galaxy S4 will be launching next month, potentially on March 15th or March 22nd at an Unpacked event. The device is rumored to have a release date at some point in April with the U.S. rumored to be getting it in either May or June.

Given that Verizon launched the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S4 should find a home on the carrier’s 4G LTE network as well.
