ZAGG Pocket Keyboard for iPhone 6 Plus, Note 4 & More

The ZAGG Pocket is a small keyboard that connects to the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Galaxy Note 4 and other iPhone and Android devices to deliver a compact and portable typing solution that blows the keys off on-screen keyboards when it comes to speed and productivity.

Announced at CES 2015, the ZAGG Pocket is a small foldable keyboard that folds differently from most folding keyboards and in doing so doesn’t need to compromise the space key with a broken up design. This is exciting news for users who want to type almost as fast on their smartphone or tablet as on their notebook.

While the primary target of the ZAGG Pocket keyboard is to let users hyper-charge their productivity on a smartphone, the device also works with iPads and other tablets. ZAGG lists iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows compatibility.

The ZAGG Pocket keyboard is designed for phablets like the iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 4.

The ZAGG Pocket is a Bluetooth keyboard that delivers an 85% full size keyboard in a tri-fold design that includes a stand to prop your iPhone 6 Plus, Note 4 or other device up so you can see what you are working on. As mentioned the folding area on this keyboard is not like on most options. This helps preserve a better overall typing layout that touch typists will appreciate.

The back area of the keyboard slides out to act as a kickstand and the total package folds up to easily fit into a bag, purse or even a pocket when you need to go mobile. When folded the ZAGG Pocket is 9 x 2.5 x .5 inches, so while it is not going to slide into your front pocket, it will sit in a suit pocket or in a back pocket while mobile.

Because the ZAGG Pocket folds differently from most folding keyboards it keeps normal key spacing and the space bar.

When you are mobile, magnets keep the ZAGG Pocket closed and help preserve battery life by automatically turning the keyboard off while it is closed. This keyboard is designed for use with phones and phablets, but can work with tablets up to 7-inches in size using the built-in stand.

There are three rows for letters, a number and function row and a bottom row for command and spacebar keys. There are also dedicated arrow keys. You do not need to use shift for most punctuation or function for letters or secondary punctuation like on some small folding keyboards.

You can even fit a small tablet on the ZAGG Pocket.

ZAGG claims an astonishing two-year battery life for the ZAGG Pocket. Of course this assumes one-hour of use each day, but that is still quite impressive considering the size of this device.

The ZAGG Pocket release arrives in Q1 2015, and it retails for $69.99.

I hope they are more reliable then the IPad mini keyboards. I have two models of IPad mini zagg keyboards both models have suffered 2 failures each in the last 2 years. Warranty service has been good and having 2 allowed one to be out for repair. I don’t think I’d recommend Zagg.
